Salary calculators
Gross pay is the number on the offer letter. These tools work out the other one, using published 2026 rates for 13 Canadian provinces and territories and 51 United States jurisdictions.
Every page shows the deductions one line at a time, names the year its rates apply to, and links to the document each rate was read from. Your inputs go into the address bar as you type, so a result can be bookmarked or sent to someone else.

What these tools cover
Canadian pages run federal tax, provincial or territorial tax, CPP, the second additional CPP contribution, and EI, with the Quebec abatement applied where it belongs. United States pages run federal income tax after the standard deduction, state income tax where the state charges one, Social Security up to the wage base, and Medicare with its additional rate on high wages.
What they do not cover is anything that depends on your household: dependants, credits, itemised deductions, local city taxes, and the provincial surtaxes a few regions add. Each page lists its own omissions under Assumptions rather than hiding them.
Rates on these pages apply to 2026. Last updated .
